Air-freight flowers greener than Dutch hothouses, say Kenyans
The British and Kenyan governments weighed into the growing debate over "food miles" insisting it was ethically and environmentally sound to buy flowers from Kenya on Valentine's Day.

After running flower trials for twelve months, commercial flower production at Lemotit commenced in 2005. Lemotit farm (Finlay Flowers Kenya) is situated 60 kms north-east of Kericho at Londiani, a highland area at an altitude of 2,400meters.
